Terms and conditions of use

You may only use the BDNZ service or its outputs by agreeing to these Terms of Use and the description of our services (and their limitations) that they contain. You agree that you shall be the sole user of the BDNZ outputs that you have requested.

BDNZ’s mission is to provide opinions which help you to improve your life while also benefiting the wider community, including friends and family, that you are connected to. We do this by (some, all or none may apply to your specific case): assisting you to solve important problems, make significant decisions, rank priorities, refine options, highlight strategies, test assumptions and gather information in order to reach certainty, clarity, reassurance and harmony in your life. Having said that, the BDNZ service provides only one input and one perspective out of many. It should not be the sole or perhaps even major determinant of what you finally choose to do. It cannot replace or make redundant technical, expert or professional advice. We cannot assist with requests which may be or are intended to be: damaging, inappropriate or injurious to yourself or to others. We are focused on helping you to achieve what you need to achieve maximum benefit over the medium and long term. This is not necessarily the same thing as what you want in the short term.

Formally, BDNZ provides you with brief and succinct opinion, feedback and commentary of a speculative, hypothetical and/or tentative nature solely for the purposes of (some, all or none my apply to your specific case): encouraging you, your business or your organisation to – answer questions, test assumptions, prioritise options, explore choices, enable problem solving, advance important work, facilitate change, reflect on possibilities and develop crucial decision making.

The BDNI3 enabled output produced for you may be extremely brief to the point of being only a few words long. BDNZ responses are heavily based on what you submit to us. For best results you should be clear about your questions, your intentions and the outcomes that you desire.

If your question requires only a single brief yes/no answer for example, that may be all that we will provide. Limited or vague information provided by you may lead to poor quality BDNZ output. If your input to us is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not representative of your actual circumstances and intent the BDNI3 process may produce spurious, useless or harmful results, or be rejected by BDNZ altogether.

Even in a best case scenario, BDNZ output produced for you may be extremely useful, of limited to no use, highly conditional on changing circumstances, or an unpredictable mix of all of the above.

Notwithstanding your use of the BDNZ service and any output that we provide, you remain solely responsible for any and all outcomes, consequences and costs resulting from your own decisions and actions, or lack thereof.

BDNZ services do not comprise or in any way replace or make redundant specific subject area expertise (e.g. technical, legal, management, engineering, financial, scientific, healthcare, IT) or any other specialty or professional advice that you should seek and consider as part of your overall due diligence, decision making and research.

Big Decision NZ responses are valid only for a limited amount of time and only while specific circumstances and conditions hold true. Significant new events including the actions you or others undertake, peculiarities of timing or coincidence, or major changes in the intentions or motivations of yourself or associated parties, may significantly alter, undermine or negate the validity, usefulness and benefit of BDNZ provided responses. This may occur rapidly and without notice.

The working language of our service is english. You should be aware that machine translations may introduce additional inaccuracy to the work that we do.

Submit only that information that you are legally entitled to share with us. Do not submit private, confidential, privileged or personal information of any kind that does not belong to you or that you do not have full rights to.

By using our services you agree that the governing law which applies to the work done by Big Decision NZ is New Zealand law. Working days, timing of work done, etc. are governed by our location as a New Zealand business. Our refund policy is an integral part of out terms of service.

In all situations the maximum liability of BDNZ, it’s trading company, shareholders and associated parties shall be limited to no more than the payment received for one single relevant BDNZ report.

BDNZ reserves the right to undertake all appropriate actions needed if our terms of service are breached.
